Meet Our Chairman
Joshua Morey – Arrowood Insurance Services
Joshua Morey is the second generation business owner of Arrowood Insurance Services. Founded in 1996, Arrowood has provided domestic access to Japanese Insurance Carriers. In addition Mr. Morey serves on the Board of Director’s for the US Japan Council, JEMS (Japanese Evangelical Mission Society), Little Tokyo Community Council, and was recently featured on the cover of IIABA’s (Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America) national magazine.
He is co-founder of KODO Insurance Services (Insuretech), Co- Chair of the Japanese Casualty Insurance Association, and was recently appointed to the National Diversity Council for Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. He has a B.A. in Business Economics, from Wheaton College and a M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Our History
Originally, we began building insurance policies solely for Japanese Temples in 1992. After partnering with Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG), we were able to expand our program offerings, and developed a Non-Profit Organization program as well.
From there, we continued to blossom and gained work with: Sompo International, Alliant Insurance Services, Travelers, Nationwide, Argo Group, CorRisk Solutions, Tokio Marine, Corvus and Sayata.
The Arrowood name is derived from a Japanese parable by Mouri Motonari. The story goes on to tell of a feudal lord teaching his children that one arrow can be broken easily, but three tied together cannot break, which demonstrates the importance of remaining together. Our logo incorporates three arrows, also representing each of the Morey brothers, the native principals of our company.
